Abstract: Reconfigurable antennas are being focused in recent research works. Antennas are heart oF communication. So implementation of efficient reconfigurable antennas are extremely important. Cognitive radio and software defined radios have potential to replace current cummunication system. A sierpinski gasket monopole antenna has been used with microstrip line feding. By changing the length of microstrip feed we can match the impedance at all resonant 11equcncies. We have designed a frequency reconfigurable antenna to work as single frequency, dual ftequency and tri frequency antenna. The mechanical feed moving system has been automated using a linear stepper motor controlled by a microcontroller. The automated system works by first taking an input from a user and then the microcontroller creates digital sequence to move the shall of the linear motor to a required position.
