Columns are the most vital component of a structure. Deterioration of column is a matter of concern which occurs due to internal factors such faulty construction practices and external factors such as extreme environment conditions. Retrofitting is an approach to rectify the deficiencies in columns and enhancing the structural strength and ductility of the columns. Traditional methods of retrofitting like steel jacketing and RCC jacketing are being increasing replaced by FRP jacketing due to advantage FRP possess over other composite materials. In this thesis, parametric studies of the FRP confined circular columns are done. Materials are modelled in the section analysis software XTRACT using the existing confined models available in literature and subsequently section analysis for various cases are done. - Load moment interaction curves and moment curvature curves are plotted for various cases and results are discussed.en_US
