Now in days self excited induction generators are used in remote areas. Due to the reason of non feasibility of grid power supply at hilly and remote area, the mind set is increasing in the research of standalone generating mode. In India most of the generating stations are of thermal type. Due to the rapid increase in thel price and shortage of coal, the research work in the field of wind and hydro power plant is increasing continuously. In standalone mode SEIG plays a very important role. In hilly and remote area wind is easily available. Therefore without any extra fuel power can be generated in isolated mode. SEIG has only one drawback of poor voltage regulation. The voltage regulation is also to be improved by using of switched capacitors or variable capacitor. Here FACS DEVICES play a very important role for smooth variation in inductance and capacitance. In case of SEIG when load varies then a drastic change occur in the voltage. So in this project work, simulation model of dumped load scheme of SEIG has been developed. Because it is very simple concept if load is constant then voltage will also be constant. So in this scheme we will try to maintain whole load as constant by using dump load.en_US
