Abstract: Finite element procedures are applied in numerical modelling of structures subjected to dynamic simulations and finite element method is a method of approximation which satisfies the concepts vital to mechanics of materials: kinematic equations, equilibrium equations and constitutive relations. The present report discusses the quality of numerical solution based on constitutive relation error and updating the numerical model by reducing the constitutive relation error which is associated with material properties. In the constitutive relation error approach, the construction of admissible stress solution is the key point in assessing the error associated with material constitutive relation.
