Abstract: In this investigation welding of SS304 and Aluminium 5052 with and without silver interlayer has been done by Resistance Spot Welding Technology. First SS304 and Aluminium 5052 has joined and Design of Experiment (DOE) analysis has been done to optimize the process parameters on the basis of tensile shear strength. After this SS304 and Aluminium 5052 has joined with silver interlayer and again Design of Experiment (DOE) analysis has been done to optimize the process parameters on the basis of tensile shear strength. In both cases maximum strength was shown at 15kA current and 16 weld cycle. The weld of SS304 and Aluminium 5052 without silver interlayer has maximum strength 4.2kN. Weld of SS304 and Aluminium 5052 with silver interlayer has maximum strength 4.6kN. To support this micrograph of weld interface and fracture surface also has been taken
