Abstract: Modern communication system is growing at a very fast rate and it is covering many technical areas. WLAN and WiMAX technology is one of the most popular and fast growing technology at present. The main objective is designing of antenna which is reconfigurable in terms of frequency and polarization. The designed antenna show great versatility in terms of tunability and frequency agility. The dual band antenna is designed to operate in WLAN frequency range. Various antenna parameters like gain, radiation pattern, bandwidth, return loss etc. have been analyzed. The effect of all the design parameters on antenna characteristics is also studied in detail. This provides the user freedom to roam around while being connected to the device remotely. This is popular due to ease of installation, mobility and user friendly environment.
