Abstract: The performance evaluation of Koshi pump lift irrigation scheme was important, since it is running continuously for long time more than 40 years around and it covers a very long path in time span. A case study was done in Saptari district Nepal to assess the evaluation of performances on economics feasibility basis. The study was doing during the year 2016-17. It focuses on economic viability to study the latest 3 fiscal year’s budget expenses and crop productions benefit analyzation. The water supply is on limited time looking for the major crops paddy and wheat only. It seems no more increments on cropping pattern due to the limited water supply system. So benefit is also limited to the related farmers. The structures of canal and pumping units are too old and it needs repair and maintenance more frequently. the cost of operation and maintenance is more. The main study focus on feasibility analysis on crop production benefit and O&M expenses basis, either its worthy or its running just without achieving benefit. After the economic analyzation, the result which came is not so attractive and satisfactory. So, on the basis of communication and discussion with institutional staff and related water user association, some main reasons of poor performances, its effects/impacts on lift irrigation scheme, and in best way, the method of minimizations the problems were converted in the form of questionnaire. Then evaluation was done with help of respondents opinion on questionnaire. A tool named Relative Important Index method applied to evaluate the response. Thus evaluation performance was made on Koshi pump lift irrigation scheme which gave the fruitful and satisfactory evaluation results
