Abstract: Nano-composites have the potential of giving new technology and opportunities for various sectors of the automotive, electronics industries. Graphene has properties like high strength to weight ratio, young’s modulus, fracture strength, good thermal and electrical property. Aluminum has various properties of due to their low density, high thermal and electrical conductivity; the strength can be increased by precipitation, good corrosion resistance. The aluminum matrix composite with varied composition of Graphene Nano-Platelets (GNP) was synthesized by Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) to near theoretical densities. However, dispersing graphene uniformly into metals is main problem that limits the making of graphene-reinforced metal matrix composites. Distribution of graphene in aluminum matrix composites uniformly is important and to protect the structure of graphene.
