Abstract: The kinetic experiment was performed to test the efficiency of inhibitor and promoter for the formation of methane hydrate. The study is carried out on the kinetics of methane hydrate formation by measuring the induction time for formation of hydrate and measuring the hydrate growth rate that occur after nuclei are formed. Composition of hydrate and kinetics of hydrate inhibitions have also been determined. Modelling on gas recovery from dissociation of gas hydrates is also done. The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between saturation of hydrate bed and porosity of hydrate bed with cumulative gas production using Abaqus-CAE software. Further, a mathematical model has been developed to simulate the production of methane gas from gas hydrates. The main conclusion of this work deformation of gas hydrate bed can adversely affect the gas production rate and hence recovery of methane gas. Also, saturation and porosity of hydrate bed affect the gas production rate. The gas recovery increases with the increase in initial saturation and higher porosity of bed
