Abstract: | Charge carrier mobility was measured by time of flight method (TOF) on the hole transporting conducting polymer poly-3-hexylthuiophene (P3HT).The mobility of the charge carriers was recorded at different applied external voltages (i.e. at different electric field).Since, mobility is the measure of how fast the charge carrier moves inside the thin film, it is very crucial to measure it precisely for the fabrication of high efficiency solar cells devices. TOF is one of the best method to measure the charge carrier mobility with some restrictions such as thickness should be greater than 1μm and the relaxation time of the organic material should be greater than the charge carrier transit time. The complete electronics and electricals of TOF measurement system was developed and used for the mobility measurement. The maximum charge carrier mobility was measured to be 3.114x10-4 cm2v-1sec-1 for the P3HT film. |
