Abstract: The conservation of heritage structure/ buildings usually emphasis on protection and re-strengthening of tangible buildings. Protection includes the foresight for extend of protection, proper examination of the building, Documentation and appropriate method for treatment. This field is closely allied with Abstract conservation science, curators and registrars. However, before doing that it is important to analyses the factors affecting the strength deterioration, behavior of load path, cracking and materials used for repairs works. Arch are main parts of heritage. The development of a mechanism is related to the actual position of the joints, as the governing criteria for its load capacity are limited to number of segments, rotational hinge and the sliding plane. The material is considered with infinite compression strength and no tension strength. While if the support slide, the equilibrium equation associated will get changed for the governing force flow. The aim of this work is to develop a method for the application of limit analysis to study arches and barrel vaults.
