dc.description.abstract29 Samples of benthic foraminifera studied from Harudi Formation and Fulra limestone Formation, in which 22 Samples of Fulra limestone and 7 samples of Harudi Formation are studied. Total 35 species have been reported and a total around 10,000 specimens have been observed during the complete study. In species description covering 5 plates have been given along with the taxonomic description 42 species. This study is aimed to study about benthic foraminifera at high resolution, i.e. almost at depth of 888 cm. In this work, an attempt has been made to interpret the paleo-environment charactertics based on trends in diversity indices as well as faunal abundances. My results show that the dominant species at the studied site are Eponides sp., Operculina sp., Cibicides lobatulas, Pararotalia sp., Neoeponides sp., Nonionella sp., Cibicides alleni, Nummulites sp. and Pyrgo sp. and opportunistic species like Quinqueloculina sp., Spiroloculina sp. were also observed.
