Abstract: At present there is great demand of sustainable concrete due to concern with high Carbon dioxide emission during the cement productions process. Therefore, efforts are being made to replace the cement with some other material wholly or partially. This encouraged the use of several types of mineral admixtures to offset cement demand and to enhance the concrete mix properties in fresh as well as in hardened stage, also for improvement of durability of concrete. In this dissertation work, various properties of mineral admixtures i.e. Jarosite were investigated. The objective of this study is to characterize the Jarosite waste, to study the various properties of Jarosite blended cement, to evaluate the properties of Jarosite modified cementitious system and influence of Jarosite waste on durability parameter of concrete. The dissertation results are founded out to be encouraging as it is feasible to replace cement partially with Jarosite to reduce carbon emission as well as to enhance durability properties of concrete
