The work done here is regarding the detection of broken rotor bar faults occurring in induction motor because of high stress occurring on rotor bars where frequent starting of motors is required. Modelling of induction motor is done in dq0 arbitrary reference frame and the results are obtained. Indicators are found for the detection of broken rotor bars at intermittent load duty cycle and at voltage unbalance. Analysis of sequence circuit of induction motor is done to get the relationship between sequence currents and machine parameters.en_US
