Frequency (RF)cfiltersoperatingsinmicrowavezfrequencyrangekare essential foraapplications in wirelessxandsatellitefcommunications and military applications.aApplications of these demanded highaperformancecfilters contribute as far asapossibletocasystem'sdcost and size.sMaterials which arezusedtoxconstruct Radio Frequency (RF) filtersahaveplayedfa major role in achievingdthese requirements. Filters which uses planer and dielectric resonator will benefit from high quality dielectric materials. Planar and filters based on printed circuit board (PCB) are more practical and popular to design. In this thesis a planar coupled line filter is designed and tested from a high quality dielectric material. Optimization is done for achieving selective skirt and desired insertion loss. FR-4 substrate is used to fabricate the simulate filter.en_US
