Abstract: | In recent years, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) has many applications in real-time. In WSNs, nodes are deployed in environment where no human intervention is possible. Because of its application, power expenditure is very high in WSNs and nodes are battery powered which are discharged in some time. Life-time of network is critical issue in WSNs which has to be improved. Many routing protocols are existed to enhance its life by reducing the power utilization of nodes in network. LEACH is the famous and best routing protocol used to boost the network life. In this work, Fuzzy logic is used to calculate the probability of each node to become cluster head in current round considering the two factors, one is distance of each node from sink and other is residual energy of each node in heterogeneous network to elevate the life-time of nodes of network. Performances are compared, which shows that there is e ective increment in the life-time of nodes of WSNs. |
