Abstract: | The global communication tra c has shooted up to massive levels since the last two decades. The burgeoning era of the computers and birth of the mighty Internet has promoted the unmatched growth of communication products and services. Technology advancement has created immense possibilities to enhance computational power and made operating systems so powerful to run multiple applications together. The number of mobile subscribers has increased manifold since the inception of mobile network and the requirement of multi-band is on the rise. To solve the current scenario, scientists and engineers have come up with the new developed network technologies and advancements which can therefore contribute to the maximum utilization of the communication spec- trum. The lack of a standard way of allocating spectrum protocol give rise to an issue for hardware designers. Thus they face problem of either using individual devices for every spectrum or a single standalone device that can support multiple bands. In order for mass production to be feasible, it is economical to have a device that can operate multiple frequencies together. Talking from a hardware perspective, there are largely two ways to tackle this problem: 1. Number of single bands are Multiplexed. Each single band is assigned for a di erent frequency range. 2. A single multiband RF device is used Therefore coming up with a robust multi band design is the ultimate solution. This dissertation presents a useful design that supports multi band operation focusing on size reduction and wider band gap between two bands. |
