dc.description.abstract | India is thea fourth-largest manufacturer of steelafollowing China, Japanaand the US. Presently inaIndia, due to limitedamodes of practicesaof utilization, hugeaamount of iron and steel slagadumped in yards ofaeachaproductionaunit leading to graveapollution toawhole environment. An efficient approach to overcome these problems is the slag utilization. Presently in India the LD slag is only being utilized for cement, concrete, road & sinter making which is not enough.
