Following work has been done under this Thesis: MATLAB code is written for linear wave propagation inside a heterogeneous medium without considering scattering phenomenon. The goal is to investigate if including scattering the final expression can be linearized and if the difference between both expressions is insignificant. Beer Lambert law (as a starting point) is used in first case. While in later case complex expression is derived. It is found that wave propagation length under a discretized area cannot be made independent with medium dependent parameters such as refractive index, scattering cross-section or attenuation constant thus desired expression could not be achieved. Future work is to find this derivation and code it.en_US
