Abstract: As the nations are developing, their energy demand is also increasing continuously whereas the conventional resources to fulfil these energy requirements are vanishing continuously. At the same time, renewable energy sources are abundant, non-exhaustive and have enough potential to fulfil large part of this energy demand. With growing technology renewable energy sources has become quite accessible0and their0prices have decreased0over the years. Renewable0energy sources use indigenous0resources and have the0potential to provide0energy with negligible0emission of air pollutants and greenhouse gases.0Renewable energy0technologies produce marketable0energy by converting0natural phenomena/resource into0useful energy. It is a promising prospect0for the0future as an alternative to conventional0energy. Hydro power, Wind, Biomass, Solar energy etc. are some of the sources0which have proved to be promising.
