The molecular composite is a miscible blend where the rigid-rod polymer is dispersed at the molecular level in a matrix of flexible-coil polymer. This project investigates the processing, structure and properties of molecular composite of poly-p-phenylene-terephthalamide / polyamide -6,6 and establishes miscibility in molecular composites with the view to develop the same molecular composites as advanced engineering materials in future. Molecular composite of • POIY-p-phenylene-tercphthalamide /Polyarnide -6.6 of various compositions have been processed h solution blending. Miscibility in molecular composites of poly-p-phenylene-terephthalamide / Polyamide -6,6 has been established by measurement of glass transition temperatures by Differential Thermal Analyzer and the reasons have been explained by solubility parameters and specific interactions of inter molecular hydrogen bonding type established by Fourier Transform Inira red Spectroscopv. Thermo-gravimetric analysis of molecular composites of poiy-pphenvlene- terephthalamide / Polyamide - 6.6 has been performed. Morphology has been examined by Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscopeen_US
