The aim of this project is to calculate the activity of different radioactive sources such as Cs- 137, Co-60, Na-22 and Co-57 using different scintillation detectors, namely, NaI(Tl), LaBr3(Ce) and LaCl3(Ce). The activity has been calculated using absolute method for single gamma emitter Cs-137 and triple gamma emitter Co-57 and using sum-peak method for double gamma emitters Co-60 and Na-22. GEANT4 simulation toolkit has been used for activity calculation of Co-57. Intrinsic peak efficiency of detectors has been taken from simulation results of GEANT4 toolkit to calculate the activity of sources using absolute method. Intrinsic peak efficiency has also been calculated using experimental and analytical methods and the result has been compared with the simulation result.en_US
