Abstract: For a country like India where heterogeneous traffic conditions exist and the major contributor to the traffic conditions are two wheelers it altogether becomes important that we study and analyze the two wheelers separately, the effect they impose on the traffic characteristics and on the other vehicles in the traffic stream. In this study carried we try to analyze the effect of proportion of two wheelers on the PCU values. Further it is been tried to find out the effect of the two wheelers on the other vehicles in terms of speed. Then the speed flow density relationships are established to know the effect of two wheelers on the traffic stream considered together. By considering the two wheelers here we can improve the design of the prevailing road conditions. Finally the variation of time headway and space headway with increasing number of two wheelers is studied.
