This work examines the ability and feasibility of the durability of the Expanded Polystyrene core panel system in India. It is usually built with mortar spread over the surface EPS with pressure through the spray gun. The composite action of the mortar and EPS layer responsible for their strength and durability. Eighteen samples were built and subjected to exposures of alternate wet & dry conditions and hot air. It was tested for in-plane shear strength and out-of-plane bending strength. The variations were studied in terms strength and other important properties of panels after and before exposures. For in-plane shear strength testing, the samples were subjected to diagonal compression loading under displacement control in order to measure their in plane deformation and strength properties and also to see the variation in strength properties due to exposure. For out-of-plane bending strength testing, two point loading test has been performed on the specimens to compare the flexural strength between various exposed and without exposed panels.en_US
