The understanding of the behaviour of laminated composite structures subjected to localized impact is an important as well as complex problem, and the degree of complexity increases with the increase of the velocity of the impact. This is primarily due to the dependency of a number of aspects such as material behaviours, failure mechanisms, load transfer mechanisms and others, which are in general complex and associated with numerous uncertainties. In this dissertation, extensive literature survey have done and various gaps available in the research papers pointed out. Experimental and numerical work have done on those gaps to enhance the knowledge about damage behaviour of the FRP laminates under impact loadingen_US
