Abstract: | The security and portability of Java cards provide a safe, reliable, convenient, and effective way to ensure secure e-business and to enable a broad range of new applications. Java . cards represents one of the smallest computing platforms in use today. A major factor influencing the design and implementation of Java Card is the limited availability of computing resources. Thus, the class ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) is implemented, acted on the Java Card platform. ECDSA, the elliptic curve analogue of the more widely used DSA (Digital Signature Algorithm), is a robust digital signature algorithm. Compared to traditional public-key cryptographic algorithms it offers advantages such as shorter key lengths, faster execution, which are particularly important for implementation of smart card applications. |
