dc.description.abstract | The demand for R.C. structures is increasing along with different technology in the construction industry. Analysis, design and detailing are the routine works which are required to be performed in every stage of construction. Along with the economy in design, time bound completion of the project and possibilities of including new ideas at any stage of construction are the great demands in design offices. This requires faster analysis, design and detailing of the structure. As personal computers are available at moderate cost and availability of more knowledge- about using it, demands are still increasing. A computer package for analysis and design of R.C. frame is thus very essential to satisfy the needs. The present package, as developed in this thesis can analyze a plane frame and design the members along with footings. Individual design of beam, column and footing is also possible. Drafting of footing is another part which has increased the beauty of the package. Two building frames one single storey frame and one multi storey frame have been chosen for comparing the result of analysis. Various test examples from books have been chosen for comparing the design of beam, column and footing | en_US |
