For meeting the power need of remote areas there is steady rise of interest and activity in small, mini and micro hydel power because of shorter gestation periods, lesser environmental impact and their suitability in serving the local power need of the rural and remote areas. This dissertation "CAD Package for Industrial Building Frame" is developed in Microsoft Fortran Power Station 4.0. Basic object of this software is for structural analysis and design of small hydropower house buildings, which generally have structural components in R.C.C. and steel both. Many softwares for analysing and design of structures are available in market but they lack the confidence of user, as the user generally does not know what assumptions and philosophy the programmer has used. So for small projects is better to use one's own software. This software analyses and designs various components of power house/industrial buildings like Purlins, Roof Trusses, Gantry Girder, Columns and Foundations. For load calculations and designs , the following codes are referred IS:456-1978 ( Indian Standard Code Of Practice For Plane And Reinforced Concrete), IS:800-1984 (Indian Standard Code Of Practice For General Construction In Steel) and IS:875- 1987 (Indian Standard Code Of Practice For Design Loads).en_US
