Abstract: Synthesis of various types of heterocyclic compounds is dominating the field of modern organic and medicinal chemistry. The presence of heterocyclic rings in drugs represents the majority of known pharmaceutical preparations. A number of 2-substituted Quinoxaline derivatives have been synthesized by the reactions of 2-Chloroquinoxaline with various amines by means of microwave enhancement of nucleophilic substitution reaction. The reaction of 2- Chloroquinoxaline with phenylhydrazine in Me0H followed 2nd — order kinetics (1St order in each reactant). The reactions have been carried out at five different temperatures and the various activation parameters have been estimated which are typical of a bimolecular aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction (SNAr). The kinetics obeyed Hammett and Bronsted LFERs.
