The classical electromagnetic fields theory approach Is used to investigate the tooth ripple lasses in the turbogenerators. The equations are developed, considering the effects of winding harmonics and slot harmonics separately, and also considering the effect of both harmonies taken together. These e uat ons are obtained both for rectangular and cylendrical t+ -ordinate eqe tems # for a, o, machines having f. uniformly slotted etator with solid rotor, and also with uniformly slotted rotor. These equations can be developed r a turbo rotor(having slots only at interpole fates) as the ease considered with the machine having uniformly slotted rotor in a generalised one. The tooth ripple losses are evaluated from the above equat- ions for a particular solid rotor$ induction motor available.en_US
