dc.description.abstract | The dissertation has been prepared to give idea about instrumentation requirements of paper industry. To Introduce the topic brief idea about paper making process is given in the first chapter. Second chapter emphasizes on general requirements of paper and pulp inetrusentation• Digester-liquor measuring system, acid pulping* alkaline pulp washing, stock prepara- tion, pulp bleaching wt and dry and Instrumentation has been diueuuoed. it has been found that two physical variables viz con3i atancy and level have dominating role to play throughout the paper ming proee+a• Measurement of these two variables, therefore, have been given due considerations In next two chapters. Various methods and recent developments for their measurements have been included In the text. Author has fabricated and tested a electrolyte resis- tance method for pulp level measurement to convert pulp level into frequency so that the some could be used by exp-kine computers for necessary asse asmO nt of the process. The out- put frequency is shown to vary linearly with pulp level. | en_US |
