In this work, the numerical method for calculat- ing transient voltages and currents under shunt faults and switching operation have been studied. Here the machine is represented by two ways, firstly by constant voltage and impedance and secondly by operational impe-dances. The main stress is given to latter representation of machine. In the first case the intogro-differential equations have been set up and solved for three phase fault. In the second case the algebraic relations is written and solved.en_US
