Title: ON STABILITY OF CERTAIN ASYNCHRONOUS MACHINES AND SYSTEMS
Authors: Kumar, Devendra

Issue Date: 1971
Abstract: The work done comprises three sections. In the first section performance equations of a Doubly fed induction motor are derived using the coupled circuit theory approach. The torque equation so obtained is used to determine the stiffness of the machine under steady-state conditions. In the second section an experimental study of the stability of a synchro-tie system, having schrage motor and wound rotor Induction motor as system components, is carried out. The third section deals with the stability analysis of a self excited induction generator. Character-istic equation of the system is obtained from the impedance matrix and using the D-partititon technique the critical value of capacitance is calculated.
