Abstract: | This thesis deals with the development of tunable Combline filter for Software defined radio (SDR) applications. The methodology for the design of Tunable Combline filter is explained in detail and explicit design formulas, to obtain the filter design parameters from specifications, are included. This tunable filter uses the concept of reverse biased diode as a Variable Capacitor (Varactor) for tuning purpose. The proposed filter is designed with the frequency range from 0.5GHz to 3GHz with commercial available varactors as tuning elements. The parasitic effects and simulation problems are discussed |
