Abstract: A geoelectrical study of Rewa block in district Rewa (M.P) covering the area 723 sq km. in Tons river sub basin of Madhya. Pradesh. {India) has been carried out in the present dissertation. The area. is drained by perennial river Beehar and their tributaries Bichiya. and Ka.riya.ri nala. There is no major reservoir in this area. The main aim of this study is to delineate the limestone aquifer in the Rewa area. from resistivity sounding data and find its relative groundwater potential in different part of the area.. The methodology applied is the interpretation of available geoelectrica.l data by using a computer software and geological interpretation of the quantitative results. The ranges of resistivity were fixed by comparing the. layer thickness and resistivity obtained from interoreta.tion with the lithologs of nearby tubewelts.
