Title: A DISTRIBUTED COOPERATIVE APPROACH TO IMPROVE DETECTION AND REMOVAL OF MISBEHAVING MANET NODES

Abstract: A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a temporary infrastructure less network, formed by a set of mobile nodes that dynamically establish their own network on the fly without relying on any central administration. In MANETs, nodes either communicate directly with each other or they relay information through other nodes by forming chains of transceivers in order to reach the final destination as shown in Figure 1.1. Here node A sends data to node D through nodes B and C. Therefore, each mobile node acts both as a host and a router, and a routing protocol is needed to deliver packets from source nodes to corresponding destination nodes
