Abstract: Water which is one of the most important mineral and vital of all life, played an important role in the past and future. This most precious resources some-times scarce, sometimes plentiful and very unevenly distributed both in space and time India being in the tropical climate zone most of the rainfall of the year is concentrated during monsoon season usually from June. to October. To study the behaviour of the catchment ine~ ymmetric manner, availability of hydrological data is an important factor. To deal with present study, Harabhange irrigation project is a reservoir across river Harabhangi a major tributary of Vansadhara river of Vansadhara Basin to irrigate an ayacut of 9650 Hact C.C.A. (C.C.A to G.C.A percentage is 75). Its total catchment area (is 194.0 Sq. Mile) is 503 Sq. K.M. and free catchment area(is 190.5 Sq. Mile) i. e. 493.5 Sq. KM Reservoir capacity at F.R.L. 387.8 H is 9630 Ham. and capacity at D.S.L. 381.0 m is 4568 Ham. According to availability of data of this project, the scope of this work is limited to the followings: 1) Yield study by a) Development of monthly yield series from the observed catchment rainfall by rainfall-runoff correlation. b) Generation of monthly flow sequence using Thomas Fiering Model and Disaggretion Model (Perenial River). c) Calculation of weihted rainfall by Theissen Polygon.
