Abstract: With the growth in industries related to mining activities, there is definite impact upon hydroenvironmental aspects. One case study of limestone Quarry in Rajban Area of Himachal Pradesh has been done. Here open cast mining was done and presently mining activity has been banned by Hon'ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh till Environmental Impacts are evaluated, assessed and presented to the competent authority. As a result the owners referred the case to University of Roorkee to carry out the study in this aspect. This quarry is located on the right bank of Giri river at Manal. Study has been done with the help of toposheets, Survey of India, Aerial Photographs, Landsat Imageries F.C.C. and MSS-l. Drainage analysis of study basin has been done. Land use under categories thick forest, thin forest, cultivated land and baren land has been classified for pre project and post project period using visual interpretation techniques. Using these data with available rainfall stream flows in Giri river has been stimated using SCS TR-55 model for premining and post mining periods...
