Abstract: In several water resources projects, it is required to predict the characteristics and the quantity of stream flows, to derive the critical flow sequences of their associated return intervals. The objective of the present study is to simulate the monthly synthetic sequences of streamflows by univariate Thomas Fiering model also. The main feature of the study of time series is to generate data with the properties of the observed historical record. To know the properties of a historical record, the historical records or time series are broken into its indivi-dual components and then the analysis is being done separately to understand the casual mechanism of the different components. Once the properties of the components have been know then the generation of data can be done with the same properties to give a generated sample of the future time series. Regional analysis can also be made by considering some physical para.-meters as constant or homogeneous of unknown ungauged sites to known gauged sites in generating the future data for ungauged site...
