Abstract: Ground water forms an important component of world's usable water resources, and is also available in many parts if the world where sufficient surface water supplies are not available. However, the aquifers containing ground water si:,.ould be delineated and investigated systematically for its quantity alTd u.rlity before full development, can be implemented. The present work dealt with Hydrogeological study of the Yamuna--Hindon Doab, Uttar Pradesh and computer assisted ai r,••• lysis of hydrochemical data. An attempt has been made to cal-culate the hydraulic onductivity from available grain size data and to compare these with those obtained from punpin.: test tate analysis. An analysis of pumping test data of tubewells of the area has been carried out using suitable methods for unconfined aqui_f ers. The chemical data of the groundwater for 50 sample loc tions has been subjected to factor Analysis and Principal Component Analysis by using; a computer programme. The results of the chemical character of ground water as certained f rom these analysis has been compared with the results of conventional analysis using piper Trilinear Diagram.
