dc.description.abstract | It is hardly necessary to state that water is one of the most important rninearls and, vital for all life. Correct assesment of water resource is a pre-requisite, for the successful water planning. To study Hydrological behaviour of catchment in asy-stematic manner, availability of hydrological data is an important factor. In the present study a general applicability of unit hydrograph modelling for Bhatsa upper catchment, Thane District Maharashtra State, is studied. The use of unit hydrograph derived by different methods for Bhatsa river flow has been studied against a recorded storm event dated 29.7.76. The unit hydrograph modelling is studied in the following approaches. (1) Shgrman (1932) approach, (2) Nash Conceptual approach (3) Modified Collins approach (iv) Matrix approach. | en_US |
