Landsat imageries of Bands 5 and 7 in the scale of 1:1 million with the help of topographical maps of scale 1":l mile were interpreted tto determine th -following: -- ( i) The boundary of the flood plain. ( ii) Ascertain the shift of both the left & right banks. ( iii) Calculate the excel extent of the flood plain.en_US
