dc.description.abstractUsing discrete kernel approach, a mathematical model for large depression storage and aquifer interaction is developed. The large depression storage is descretised into number of bowl shaped depressions. Depression transmissibility, a parameter which governs the depression--aquifer interaction, is estimated for different depths of storage. The estimates of depression transmissibility along with the depression water levels are employed to assign boundary conditions in t he model, The depre-ssion-aquifer interaction and water table simulation models are• integrated together and the integrated model is used to obtain seepage from the depressions as well as the water table elevations. The model is operated for depression area near Surathgarh, Sriganganagar district, Rajasthan. to simulate water table elevations. Using the model the aquifer parameters for the area are estimated by indirect method.
