By making use of discreate kernel approach an attempt has been made to study the interaction of a well stream and a multiple aquifer systems For a given pumping rate and known aquifer parameteres, the recharge to the confined aquifer from the unconfined aquifer and the return flow from the stream to the unconfined aquifer for aquitard resistance (c) ranging from 600 to 10000 are presented. The draw down in the source bed and the confined aquifer for c = 600 to 10,000 have been evaluated. The draw down in the unconfined aquifer even for low vilue of aquifer resistance are observed to be very small. Hence the usual assumption that the water table does not charge with respect to time is valid. aridl200 The influence coefficients for c = 600I have been calculated and by making use of these Coefficients the ,spatial distribution of return flow for variable rate of pumping can be obtained. The total recharge and the return flow for all the 12 time steps with c - ('0'O, c = 1200 r.haye..been quantified in this .98udy.en_US
