dc.description.abstractThe study deals with the application of simulation technique in Reservoir planning in the context of existing Krishna R*j dagar reservoir in Ksrnetaka State in India. Three sampling techniques. i.e. the systematic, the random, and the hybrid were, used for exploring the response (the benefit) surface. The simulation model developed on ZK 1620 and was ran on IBM 370. computers respectively. The study peels that a storage capacity of K.R. Sager Reservoir of 1200 14.C,M. may even be enough as 4 CIA , o~ Compared to the 14u H.C. . to get more wit to satisfy the modernise tion demand of 1850 M.C.M. without much average. Annual ZrrigL!Ltion deficit and without much av*Me annual *pill from a ser +ir. The r ason being that the high coat of reservoir for gear capacity is out weighing the benefit gain In supplying more water to as►et the Irrigation deficit. This supports the fact that the above behaviour may be predicted only by carrying out the simulation studies of a water asst s systse which the other methods of reservoir planning may LWl L + to do so.en_US
