Abstract: In order to have better and easier planning, design and management of water resources systems, there must be longer period of hydrologic records. However, such long hydrologic record is generally not available for this purpose. Runoff data for example, is usually short to give a basis for precise judgement of water availability. Methods are available to study the -short period record of flow by making use of stochastic models, also statistical methods are available which can be used in the analysis of the short records usually available. In the present study, the objective is the statis-tical analysis and representation of components of the daily flow series for monsoon season for 10. years from 1960 to 1969 for Ramganga River catchment at Kalagarh. The study has been done for developing a model for daily flow series. The overall mean and daily mean of overall mean removed series constitute the deterministic component. Correlogram analysis has been used in order to identify the order of dependent stochastic process with the help of the method of determination coefficient. OLX
