Photo voltaic power as an alternate source of energy and the growth of hybrid electric vehicles has put pressure on power electronics industry, to produce high frequency dc/dc converters with simple control techniques. This thesis deals with such a topology, namely Phase Shift Forward Bridge Converters. The resonance conditions (zero voltage and zero current states) have been met to ensure low stress on switching devices and hence high converter operating frequency. A novel algorithm has been proposed and implemented on simulink platform, to eliminate the high frequency components present in the flux density of the transformer. The performance of the converters has also been evaluated and it's found to be . compatible for the above applications.en_US
