Abstract: This Dissertation deals with the welding of heat resistant 1.25Cr-0.5Mo steel. Heat resistant steel is widely used in the manufacturing of components employed in the power generation, petrochemicals, reactors, and aero-special transport operating at elevated temperature and under condition of severe stress. Welding parameters affect the mechanical properties of Heat Resistant Steel weld joint. Determination of influence on the properties of Heat Resistant Steel weld joint is required so that they can be adjusted to get the desired mechanical properties for a weld joint of a component or structure. The present work deals with the effects of submerged are welding parameters on the hardness and microstructure of 1.25Cr-0.5Mo Steel weld joints. In the work the effects of welding current and welding speed on the microstructure, hardness has been studied.
