In this work, a microcomputer based instrumentation system for processing and conditioning the response of a differential resistive transducer (strain gauge) has been developed. In this system, the transducer is an element of an integrating circuit. The conversion is carried out in the four stages of integration. Four different time periods are obtained corresponding to four stages of integration. The fractional change in transducer is obtained as the ratio of difference and sum of two input signal using microcomputer. The control signal for setting four stages of integration is obtained from the microcomputer. In this scheme, the microcomputer is doing the job of selection of element combination in four stages, control, conditioning and analysis.en_US
