An efficient algorithm for Power System State Estimation based on the Given's Orthogonalization is presented in this Dissertation report. The algorithm is developed using weighted least square. technique and square root free version of Givens rotation. To optimize the computer memory and evaluate the System State at high speed sparse methods in programming along with suitable row and column ordering are implemented. Program is tested for standard IEEE 14 Bus, 30 Bus, 57 Bus, systems for measurement set includes bus injections line flows and bus voltages at reasonable redundancy. A comparison in the space saving and execution time due to row and column rotation are also included.en_US
